Jacqueline "Jayde" Young,
MS, LPC, RPT, EMDR CERTIFIED THERAPIST
Jayde is a licensed professional counselor who specializes in working with children, adolescents, and adults. She has worked in various settings over the course of her experience as a counselor including a university community clinic, an agency supporting victims of Domestic Violence, Applied Behavioral Analysis Clinics and in home therapy for those on the Autism Spectrum, and private practice.
Jayde's areas of expertise includes working with children, teens and adults who are autism spectrum, siblings or family members of people with special needs, grief, anxiety, traumatic experiences, adjustment issues, military family, and parent child relationships.
Mrs. Young is a graduate from the University of North Texas where she received her Bachelors Degree in Psychology and went on to receive her Master of Science Degree in Counseling. While in graduate school Jayde worked as Applied Behavioral Analysis therapist. During her internship in graduate school Jayde helped to create a counseling and play therapy program within two different Autism clinics. She went on to work in a domestic violence shelter and then later private practice.
Jayde's main goal in working with anyone is based on the belief that everyone knows themselves best and all people have the ability to positively grow and overcome life’s challenges. When working with children, she uses a combination of child-centered play therapy and child- parent relationship training or CPRT with parents. CPRT is a form of filial therapy that focuses on building the bond and relationship between parents and their children. When working with teens or adults Jayde can utilize sandtray therapy and expressive arts to help gain insight to what that person may be struggling with. She also at times uses EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapy to help clients who struggle with major trauma, attachment, anxiety, and grief. Her goal in counseling is to recognize the uniqueness of each individual and provides them a safe, judgment-free environment to explore their thoughts and emotions.

Sydney is a graduate of Abilene Christian University, where she received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology and went on to complete a Master of Science Degree in Counseling Psychology.
