Jacqueline "Jayde" Young,
MS, LPC, RPT, EMDR CERTIFIED THERAPIST
Jayde is a Licensed Professional Counselor who believes deeply in the power of authenticity, connection, and courage in the healing process. She works with children, adolescents, and adults and brings both professional expertise and lived experience to the counseling space, openly identifying as neurodivergent. Jayde understands firsthand the exhaustion that can come from masking, perfectionism, and chronic burnout, and she is especially passionate about supporting neurodivergent individuals in untangling shame, redefining success, and building lives rooted in self-compassion rather than survival.
Over the course of her career, Jayde has worked in a wide range of settings, including a university community clinic, domestic violence shelters, Applied Behavioral Analysis clinics, in-home therapy with individuals on the autism spectrum, and private practice. These experiences have shaped her belief that meaningful change happens in relationships built on trust, safety, and empathy.
Jayde specializes in working with children, teens, and adults on the autism spectrum; neurodivergent individuals experiencing perfectionism, burnout, and identity exhaustion; siblings and family members of individuals with special needs; grief; anxiety; trauma; adjustment challenges; military families; and parent–child relationships. She is particularly drawn to helping clients who feel overwhelmed by expectations—both internal and external—and who are longing for relief, clarity, and a more sustainable way of being.
Jayde earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and her Master of Science in Counseling from the University of North Texas. While in graduate school, she worked as an Applied Behavioral Analysis therapist and helped create counseling and play therapy programs within two autism clinics during her internship. She later worked in a domestic violence shelter before transitioning into private practice.
At the heart of Jayde’s work is the belief that people are the experts on their own lives and already carry the capacity for growth and healing within them. When working with children, she uses child-centered play therapy and Child–Parent Relationship Training (CPRT), a filial therapy approach that strengthens connection and builds secure, attuned relationships between parents and children. With teens and adults, Jayde may incorporate sandtray therapy and expressive arts to help clients access and give voice to experiences that are often difficult to put into words. She also utilizes EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) when appropriate to support clients working through trauma, attachment wounds, anxiety, grief, and burnout.
Jayde’s goal in counseling is to honor the uniqueness of each individual while providing a safe, judgment-free space where vulnerability is met with compassion and courage is nurtured. She believes healing happens when people feel seen, understood, and empowered to show up as their authentic selves—without apology or perfection.

Sydney Newton, MS, LPC

Sydney is a licensed professional counselor whose range of interest includes working with adolescents, adults, and couples. She spent the majority of her graduate studies as a counselor at a university counseling clinic, providing low-cost therapy to college students and members of the local community.

Sydney is a graduate of Abilene Christian University, where she received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology and went on to complete a Master of Science Degree in Counseling Psychology. While completing her graduate studies, Sydney provided therapy under the supervision of licensed psychologists, primarily utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Mindfulness-based techniques with her clients. During her internship in graduate school, Sydney worked at a behavioral health hospital, where she was trained to work with individuals in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

Sydney approaches therapy with the goal of identifying patterns in thinking and behavior, in order to help clients alter the negative cycles that have maintained their symptoms. Ultimately, Sydney wants to empower her clients by giving them a safe space to freely express their concerns, while also equipping them with the tools to manage their circumstances.
